Old Capitol City All-Stars versus No Coast Mad Maxines: Preview

The OCC All-Stars are prepared to take on one of their most challenging opponents to date: the No Coast Mad Maxines out of Lincoln, Nebraska in an exciting, FRIDAY NIGHT bout.

The Mad Maxines are currently ranked #7 in the South Central Region, while the Old Capitol City All Stars are currently #19 in the North Central.  The Mad Maxines have had an an incredible season, losing only four of their 17 games, many to high-ranked WFTDA teams.  They boast Flash Gloria, MVP jammer of last year’s South Central tournaments, an unstoppable jammer whose speed and agility are hard to match.  Their defensive line is almost telepathic, their fantastic blockers rotate creating strong walls, and sending jammers flying.

Old Capitol City All-Stars, coming off a hard loss to Mid Iowa, have been patiently working on their defense and strengthening their endurance.  A victory against No Coast could mean a fast-track up the rankings, as well as communicating that the OCC machine is not tripped up by a single loss.

This is the second-to-last chance to see the OCC All-Stars on the track at home this season.  The All-Stars trek to Rockford, Illinois on October 13th, and then close out the season with the 4th Annual Monster’s Brawl on October 19th. This last home bout sees a change in opponent, instead of the Fox City Foxz from Appleton, WI, the All-Stars will take on the Twin City Derby Girls from Champagne-Urbana, Illinois.
